Soil Enzyme Activity Response under the Amendment of Different Types of Biochar

چکیده
Biochar (BC) is a material that finds many applications in agriculture and environmental activities. The aim of the study was to define influence biochar produced from various organic materials: mellow compost (MC), stabilized municipal sewage sludge (MSS), pine sawdust (PS), sycamore (SS) oak leaves (OL) on soil enzyme activity, as well its relations with carbon nitrogen content. After 60-day incubation BC, activity dehydrogenases (DEH), catalase (CAT), alkaline (AlP) acid (AcP) phosphatases investigated. basic parameters were also determined: TOC, TN, DOM, pH H2O, available phosphorus (AP). highest AP content obtained S + MSS, OL MC variants. Enzyme MSS regardless time. 60 days, enzymes inhibited. results indicate response enzymatic depends feedstock When using BC an exogenous matter, it necessary determine TOC/TN ratio. For very wide range this parameter, supplemental fertilization or mixtures different biochars should be applied.

The aim of this study was to investigate the effects of biochar amendment on soil aggregate formation and stability, and soil hydraulic properties. Biochar produced from dairy manure was added to two different soils (a silty clay and a sandy loam soil) at a ratio of 2% (w/w in dry weight basis). Incubation experiments were conducted within a 90-d period with the soils (the controls) and the soi...
متن کاملOn the response spectra of cracked beams under different types of moving force
In this paper, the dynamic responses of cracked beams under different moving forces, including moving load, moving mass, moving oscillator, and four-degrees-of-freedom moving system, are investigated. Structural elements such as beams are designed to withstand the predicted loads, but unfortunately, they are always exposed to unpredictable damage such as cracks. Several factors may cause these ...
متن کاملSoil enzymatic characterization of different soil types under meadow
Studies to the feasibility to characterize soil types by soil microbiological and biochemical analysis focus on the existence of microbial and biochemical characteristics distinctive to individual soil types. Many authors have attempted to elucidate relationships between microbiological and physico-chemical properties of different soil types (DUTZLER-FRANZ, 1977a, b; KHAZIYEV and KHABIROV, 1983...
متن کاملChloropicrin Emission Reduction by Soil Amendment with Biochar
Biochar has sorption capacity, and can be used to enhance the sequestration of volatile organic contaminants such as pesticides in soil. Chloropicrin (CP) is an important soil fumigant for the production of many fruit and vegetable crops, but its emissions must be minimized to reduce exposure risks and air pollution. The objective of this study was to determine the capacity of biochar to adsorb...
